Final Summer Camp Session for 2011

Today is the last blog I will be writing during Summer Camp at Circle F Dude Ranch next Tuesday is the last day campers will be here. The bittersweet feelings we all must have seem overwhelming at the moment.

The summer has been speeding by and I can’t believe most of the counselors will be leaving along with the campers next week.

Sherry and the rest of us who are here year round are already talking about how great it was working with Logan and the rest of the wranglers this summer. Happily some of them are here for “Family Weekends  & Group Weekends” which I have started calling Camp for “Families” so Mom and Dad can experience some of the fun each camper has enjoyed this summer. Imagine Paul has decided to keep “The Wibit” in the water for the first weekend so Mom and Dad can enjoy the “Funtastic” experience all of you Circle F Dude Ranch Summer Campers have had jumping and climbing “The Wibit”. Of course everything else is still being offered along with great food and a chance to spend quality time with family and friends.

But we still have lots of fun and activities left here so make sure Mom and Dad go to the website www.circlefduderanchcamp.com and click the link halfway down the page that takes them to Shutterfly and shows them the wonderful photos being taken by Holly, Brent and all the photo campers this season.

Now I am ready to tell you about an event that happened Sunday afternoon that while it was a beautiful sight it took effort by everyone involved to correct the problem. On Sunday when the new campers arrive the horses are always by the front gate to meet and greet the families well one of the gates got pushed open Sunday around 6:00pm. About 12 horses got out! As I watched them start across the field I couldn’t help but enjoy the moment. The beauty and freedom they seemed to know was happening was amazing. Along with the light from the setting sun sending rays across the lake only added to the moment. The buckskin led the way but within moments Logan was there with the feed cart and all the horses started following him back to the barn. Paul and Mia were right there directing each horse into a stall.

Then Paul went in and led them back to where they belonged.

So that’s just a bit of what’s happening here at Circle F Dude Ranch Summer Camp.

But remember there is lots of fun that can be created by you and your family this fall.

So call the office and get more information # 863-676-4113 everyone is ready to help!

See Ya Jessie!

Summer Camp Session Three

The days at Circle F Dude Ranch Summer Camp are speeding by, the end of third session is this Friday!  Wow, I can’t believe we only have the ten-day session left.

The summer is one exciting event after another and everyone feels the energy building every day.  The list of reasons it has been so “Funtastic” seems endless.

Entering the Campgrounds all the horses are always at the gate creating a wonderful site as you and your family arrive at the beginning of each session. Logan and Sherry are always making sure at the end of each day the horses are allowed to roam on the side of the lake opposite the dock so that we can watch them eat grass and experience the sight and beauty it creates. As the sun sets each day over the lake the light and beauty of the sky can be seen from all the cabins. We all realize how lucky we have been to experience this summer here at Circle F Dude Ranch Summer Camp. No wonder each day so many campers enjoy horseback riding.

By now everyone knows the heat is in so many states it seems like we are cooler then other places, the waterfront has been a favorite of everyone the lake has been cool and each one of the water toys continues to be a big hit. But I can’t forget to mention the “Eco-Friendly Cooling System” that Paul had installed in each cabin and all the buildings this year, which has made an amazing difference. Campers are sleeping very restfully and meals have been a pleasure.  Also in the Round UP kids love sitting in front of the cooler and enjoy telling everyone how cool they are!

I hope all of you have had a chance to go to the website www.circlefduderanchcamp.com and click the link to check out the photographs that Holly, Brent and their campers post on a regular basis.

As you can see everything is going great so hurry and get Mom and Dad to sign you up for the last session don’t miss this very special experience hear at Circle F Dude Ranch Summer Camp.  Hurry call the office 863-676-4113 we all are hear to help.

See ya Jessie!

Summer Camp Third Session Is Funtastic!

Thrilling is how I want to tell you about how Circle F Dude 3rd Summer Camp session!

We are all having so very much fun.  The campers are eager to do so many of the new activities that have been created this year at the Summer Camp. Holly the photo teacher and Emily the dance teacher tell us everyday how many kids are taking their classes. Improv that Emily teaches has 15 campers in just one of her classes and the dance team grows every day.

Holly is having so much fun with this group and Brent the new assistant is really very skilled and the kids are excited to work with him as well. Travis was here last week taking bunk photos and campers with one of the horses and all the photos look great.  What a wonderful memory has been created for everyone.

The weather has also been perfect which has added to each day’s fun, kids have been playing soccer with the coach Eli or jumping off the tower and practicing their skills swimming and climbing the new “Wibit” this summer has really been “Funtastic” I’m sure everyone who has been here agrees.

I couldn’t write this week without showing off photos taken by Sherry of Kiki getting his first bath! Mom “Girl” was close by making sure her baby was ok.

Also you know how BooWho can be he is so protective of baby Kiki he helped Sherry every step of the way. So take a look at the photos below.

Also Holly and are kids are posting photos to Shutterfly everyday so be sure and not miss out on any of those as well.  Brent was on the boat pulling the banana around and you can see how much fun the campers were having.

As 2nd session came to a close the banquet was fabulous with great food and songs by campers and counselors Logan and Jarred both sang and so did some of the girl campers. Then it was on to the dance.

This past weekend we had a Halloween party which always amazes me on how creative our campers are with their costumes.  Dancing and games hay rides and “Minute to Win It” have added to the evening program success.

Well I will keep all of you posted on the continuous fun here at Circle F Dude Ranch Summer Camp but if you are planning to spend last session here hurry and call the office 863-676-4113 everyone is waiting to help you!

Or visit the website www.circlefduderanchcamp.com for more information on the special last session designed to finish Summer Camp on a very high note.

See ya Jessie!

Amazing that’s the best word I can use to describe the closing events of summer camp second session. Circle F Dude Ranch summer camp is the most “Funtastic” place in Florida and I believe the world!! Campers were here from all over the world Russia, Spain, Argentina and of course Florida. I met so many new young people and had fun learning about their cultures.

The horses are clearly enjoying all the attention they get from all the campers and you can see just how well they respond at the closing Circle F Dude Ranch Summer Camp Rodeo. The drills that were done by a great many campers, under the direction of Logan (head of riding) was Amazing! Just as I said at the beginning everything about the Rodeo was wonderful. First Emily had a group do a dance routine a bunch of guy campers preformed and one even played his electric guitar for all of us. The girls danced as well and they were Amazing!

The English riders were also Amazing clearing every jump with ease!  See what I mean I just can’t stop using that word to describe just how great 2nd session turned out.

The banquet the night before had great food; turkey stuffing mashed potatoes and a yummy desert Amazing! Then the awards were given out and everyone got a special gift for just being at camp this year!

Don’t forget to go to our summer camp website www.circlefduderanchcamp.com click the link to Shutterfly to see all the great photos from 2nd session.

This session’s video showcased at least a hundred stills taken by the photo classes run by Holly. Friday night the kids got to see it in the Round Up before the final dance of the 2nd session here at Circle F Dude Ranch.  Then everyone who went to lunch on Saturday in the Lasso Lodge was treated to seeing it on the TV. So if your son or daughter attended 2nd session it isn’t to late to order your very own copy for you and your child to enjoy for years.

Every area of camp was filled with laughter the waterfront the wilderness program where kids caught fish and paintball were a buzz each day with activity! Amazing!!

The art classes run by Deven, Ali and Jessica were so well attended 2nd session that the projects were clearly enjoyed by all campers who spent time there each day.

I really need to close by telling reminding you we are in 3rd session! That means if you are planning to attend camp this year you only have one session left!!

So tell mom and dad to hurry and call to set things up for you not to miss out.

Just have them go to the website www.circlefduderanchcamp.com or call

The office at 863-676-4113 everyone there will be happy to help.

See ya Jessie

Summer Camp Session 2 - Week 2

Circle F Dude Ranch Florida Summer Camp is going fast and funtastic 2nd session!

So many of the campers stayed from 1st session and the counselors seem happier the ever as well. The weather has really cooperated so every one of us has been in the lake playing with the Wibit the Summit and the of course the Blob! Every camper just loves the waterfront. But by the end of the first week it is always so much fun on carnival day when the different water slides arrive and the cotton candy machine is started up and we all get to jump and slide on the ball field.

But this past Sunday most of the kids went to Universal Studios and once again the day trip was filled with hundreds of special moments.

Back at the ranch we enjoyed a lazy day which all of us look forward to. Pizza and a movie then we had a dance in the Round up.

Eli the soccer coach brought the local team but the Circle F Dude Ranch team won 1-0! Soccer is loved by so many of the kids that when there is an important game like this lots of campers are on the sidelines cheering our team on.

I so glad that I am here again this year everything about summer camp is just so much fun. This year several of the spring break kids came to summer camp and it was fun to see young people who were here with their families experience Circle F Dude Ranch on their own. I hope campers who are here now tell their parents it would be fun for them to attend a family weekend so they could all experience this wonderful place the way we do.

I hope all of you have been checking out the photo gallery link on the website. Holly has been taking so many photos it’s fun to see what everyone is doing.

Holly and Travis are out and about every day with campers taking photos that they all get to edit and print .

On another note it is also so much fun seeing all the postings on Facebook this year. Seeing parents and former campers following the events has been just great.

So keep checking out the events at camp and if you are still thinking of spending the next few weeks here with us make sure mom and dad have talked to the office 863) 676-4113 and set things up or go to the website for more information.

3rd session of our Florida Summer Camp is almost filled so if you were making plans don’t wait to call.

Take care

Yee ya Jessie!

Florida Summer Camp - Session Two Update

Florida Summer Camp at Circle F Dude Ranch couldn’t be more exciting and more “Funtastic” than it has been this past week. Everyone seems to have more energy then ever. Blake at the waterfront along with Teresa and Hula and of course Molly and the rest of the crew are helping each camper enjoy every bit of the toys like the Wibit and the Sumit and jumping off the Blob. I get so thrilled watching Bubba show the boys in his cabin how to jump really high after they climb to the top of the Wibit. Kevin even did a special turn when he knew we were all watching over 4th of July weekend. Saturday we got to help the campers do extra activities in celebration of the weekend. We even had corn dogs for lunch with burgers and fries.

Sunday was lazy Sunday to start the counselors brought breakfast to the cabins so the kids who wanted could sleep in the it was an all out soccer game or volleyball or basketball you name the game and it was being played somewhere at camp on Special Sunday. Then Sunday afternoon was Carnival Day- cotton candy and lots of water slides. All the campers were having a blast!! I know I was tired by nightfall so I’m sure the youngsters were as well!

Then on Monday we had Special schedule because it was the fourth we even had a dance on the field with music streaming out of the Roundup everyone was dancing and having some good old-fashioned fun. Then Jarred and Mark light special fireworks just for us and we all gathered around to watch.

Logan and Sherry keep us busy at the barn since most of the kids ride regularly. The horses are always so friendly and Spirit and Kiki watch as we go put on rides all day long.

Monday Travis took cabin photos of everyone and yesterday he took all the campers pictures with a horse to be given to them as they head for home at the end of a session.

I’m sure you are getting the idea of how many activities go on throughout the day but we all look forward to siesta then cantina followed by more fun then most of the campers thought possible.

Every night Jarred has a different program planned and I know he posted it on Facebook for all the Moms and Dads to see. It’s amazing how many different events he can think up and the stuff he gets to make everything so special.

I spoke with Tom on Sunday and he promises for next week he will fill me in on his vantage point as head of boys and I promise to tell you everything he says.

Mia is having a great time as head of girls and she said to make sure and say hi to all of you.

This blog wouldn’t be complete with me telling you what Paul has been saying every time I see him. He has been loving how many campers come over to chat and tell him about their day-- getting to know everyone’s name and what they like doing and some special food they tried has made this year very special. He has been busy making sure there is room for every youngster who wants to come to camp. So tell Mom & Dad to hurry as there are only a few spots left

Florida Summer Camp has gotten off to an amazing start!

Hi to all of you campers, Moms, Dads, Grandparents and friends. Summer camp at Circle F Dude Ranch has gotten off to an amazing start. First session is already over and many campers stayed for the next three weeks as they were having so much fun they didn’t want to leave. Everyday has been filled with activities that has challenged and excited each and every one of them and us. This year at the water front “The Wibit” is filled with campers climbing, jumping then swimming to the “Summit” of course the blob has an endless number of kids being tossed in the air and the fun never seems to end as Blake and Teresa watch over everyone. The new horses have fit in just fine and every camper enjoys riding on a regular schedule. Logan, Sarah and Natasha are experts, which makes learning to ride all the more special. But wait till you see baby horse Kiki he is loosing his baby hair and turning out much darker then any of us had expected.

Arts and Crafts is also a big hit this year Deven, Jessica and Ali have dreamed up so many new projects that some campers try and stay all day. But the waterfront always gets a visit at some point. Photography has turned out to be a big hit with Apple computers and Photoshop kids are being taken all around the camp to create amazing photos then learning to edit. This year everyone taking photo with Holly and Travis get to take home their own images on a CD so they have them forever as a memory of what they learned.

Holy is taking daily photos so checkout our Florida Summer Camp website for the link to the photo site and catch up on daily fun. She is even posting photography student work which is really great to see. Oh, and I can’t forget to tell you about the Circle F Dude Ranch summer camp videos this year Patrick Munoz and Chris Moon are doing an amazing job. We first met Patrick during spring break camp and he was the greatest with the little ones and he knows how to use a camcorder really well since that’s what he studies. So we are really happy he wanted to come back this summer. Chris Moon has a degree in communications so he is also great at mixing editing and adding music. I’m sure you all thought he was born to the rock wall! Saying all that the night of the banquet every camper watched the video and hooted and laughed and they watched themselves have a “fantastic” time during first session. Then the dancing began and the “disco ball “ light up the Roundup and the night was magic.

On Saturday the Rodeo was just great if I do say so myself! Of course since I help with the horses it is special to see how much each camper learned over the last two weeks. The bending pole competition or watching western riders jump is a perfect ending for a camper going home. But moms and dads come to visit the kids that are staying and watch them compete so everyone has an amazing time.

Last week I told all of you I would try and catch up with Paul and see what he had to say. Well as I followed him through part of his day he seems to be everywhere at once! First meeting and chatting up campers asking how they are enjoying the new and improved areas at the camp this year. Taking time to talk to as many of you as possible he told me has added to the pleasure he feels owning Circle F Dude Ranch. So if you see him make sure to say hi. Of course when checking in or out make sure mom and dad meets him as well as he especially told me how great it was meeting and helping parents this year. Then making the rounds to each activity speaking with counselors, checking equipment and overseeing to make sure things run smoothly. Even the night of the banquet and dance he told me what a great time he was having. Thank Paul for letting me follow you a bit!

Well guys and gals moms and dads and everyone else stay with me as we try to keep up with this “Funtactic” summer at Circle F Dude Ranch. Remember if you need more information check out the website www.circlefduderanchcamp.com or call the office

863) 676-4113 third session is almost filled so if you were making plans don’t wait to call.

Take care

Florida Summer Camp - First Week & What a Great Week it Was!

The first week of our Florida Summer Camp here at Circle F Dude Ranch was filled with excitement and fun every moment.

I have so much to tell all of you so let’s get started.

The “Webit” has be the most fun new water toy that we all could have asked for, what a surprise for the campers when they arrived!

The campers learned how to climb to the top and jump immediately and you can hear the sounds  of excitement all the way to the barn.

Of course at the barn we are having our own type of fun.

The new horses are getting along fine with all the ones that have been here for years and the new signs for all their names that Deven the art teacher and Sam helped paint- add so much to the look of each stall. It is almost as though the horses know how much we love them.

This week I thought I would check out what some of my coworkers and your counselors have to say about what has been happening.

So first I went to Mia who is head of the Girl counselors she was so funny telling me all the stories from the first week. I thought I would share a few things she told me.

“Busy Busy. I'm currently preparing the ribbons for the banquet ceremony. The older kids played music and did all the inflatables in the water for Pioneer Cantina instead of reptile man. Kiki and I went to Islands of Adventure with the counselors and 160 kids. We were all EXHAUSTED by the end of the day. It rained a few times and we had hail! Last night the kids that stayed at camp had pizza for dinner. When the buses got back from Islands of Adventure everyone watched "Hook" in the roundup.

Of course all the girls love her and you can tell she is really enjoying her role at Circle F Dude Ranch Summer camp.

Next I thought I would catch up with Deven in the art room. Everyday more and more kids are signing up for arts and crafts and photography with all the new projects and stuff Paul had built at camp this year for the kids who really like the outdoors but love making art.

“ We have made paintings, memory books, and kites in arts and crafts. We are starting clay rattles tomorrow and finishing with the flowerpots. A few days ago we went outside to draw “Spirit” the new baby horse. The campers really seemed to enjoy this and some of the drawings turned out really well! The carnival was fun. I was in charge of cotton candy and the line never ended. The kids loved it and everyone seemed to have a really great time! “ Deven has been hanging the art work on the new cork wall in the art room. Check out this link to see all the Summer Camp Photos!

Well if I spoke to Mia I had to talk to Tom who is head of boys so here is what he had to say.

“ I stayed back from Islands of Adventure day. Instead of Indian Day, we had Beach day! It was great, there was sand castle building, swimming, water basketball, water Frisbee, and campers got to enjoy playing on the summit and new “Webit”. Riding staff is gearing up for the rodeo, wilderness is catching a lot of fish in the lake, dance/ tumble/ cheer is practicing stunts, dancing is rocking out to some lady gaga while doing some sweet moves, and soccer has been the big activity in the morning for general sports! Eli the soccer coach has been has had a good size turnout

Thanks Tom we really appreciate you filling us in on so much that has been happening.

Of course this weeks blog wouldn’t be complete without a word from Kiki so I caught up with him and here is what he told me.

“ We had the opening Campfire and let me tell you it was a touching ceremony and great way to start camp.

Reptile Man was a big hit for the little campers as the older kids had Pioneer Waterfront Time. Thanks Kiki I know how busy you are helping Paul watch over everything.

I promise next week I will get Paul to tell us how much fun he is having meeting all of you and getting out of the office this year instead of just being behind the scenes

I hope you don’t think I have rambled on but there is so much “funtastic”

  stuff to tell you all.

Remember to go to the website www.circlefduderanchcamp.com for up to the minute info and photos or to see if there is still room left in the secession you want to attend.

See ya Jessie!

Our Florida Summer Camp Kicks Off!

We are going strong! Summer Camp registration went off without a hitch.  Parents and campers started arriving as early as 8 am even though it doesn’t start till 9:45. The line moved quickly as campers couldn’t wait to check in and get with the “funtastic “ time they knew was planned for everyone of them.

Sunday afternoon in the Lasso Lodge was filled with song, good food and a new drink machine which was only a few of the surprises. Energy was running high as campers and their counselors got acquainted and old friends told each other about their adventures since they were last together. Even Boo Who came out once he realized the kids were back. I saw some of the photographs taken by the kids in the new photography class and Boo Who tried being in most of them.

The weather really cooperated the sun was shinning all day but at night as all the campers were in the Round Up the thunder storm was loud and the rain which has been much needed came down in buckets! But it stopped just in time for everyone to head back to their cabins and ready for their first night at camp.

Monday morning was amazing first flag raising then Afton lead us in some very thought provoking words about how we were all going to enjoy ourselves at Circle F Dude Ranch.  Then it was on to activities. The new “Wibit” was filled with kids sliding climbing and jumping then swimming to the Summit and the Blob – the Banana boat was filled with kids laughing as they were pulled around the lake.

Tonight dinner was wonderful mashed potatoes chicken tenders and we are all loving the salad bar.

As you can see I have lots I will be telling you all about as the week goes by. I haven’t even told you about the horses or the new art counselors Deven is head of art and Jessica is one of her assistants Ali is back and everyone was so excited to see her. Lots of new projects and Deven even hung up the drawings that the campers did. Check out the photo of her and Jessica and Ali and Travis on Shutterfly at http://circlefduderanch.shutterfly.com

it’s the easiest way to keep up on what’s happening. Jarred, Chris Moon and Travis will be talking photos every day and posting every night. I just know everyone will love seeing all the happenings each session.

So that’s  it for now girls and guys and please tell mom and dad to check out the blog and of course any questions just ask and I will do my best to help get answers.

Look forward to seeing all my old friends and can’t wait for all the new campers that are coming.

See ya Jessie.

Summer Camp Starts This Sunday!!!!!

The week has gone even faster then the last one here at Circle F Dude Ranch Summer Camp. All the counselors have arrived and are training in their specialty area. What is great about that is they will be so ready for all of you this Sunday when first secession begins.
Boo Who had his haircut and looks very handsome he has been greeting all the new people and letting everyone  hug him hello. Heather from spring break camp has brought her horse “Emmet” and he is really beautiful. He is called a “Paint” and his mane has a big black streak that really stands out. She put him in with young Spirit and they seem to like each other that makes me happy, as Spirit was really wanting a friend.

Well I’m sure most of you saw the posting on Facebook about the “Wibit” I did!

It looks amazing! Blake and Teresa who are heading up waterfront this year told me even they have never seen one before. It is going to be so much fun for all of you to play on this water toy I am excited at the thought of seeing everyone enjoy themselves. As it is being checked out today I’m sure someone will post photos on Facebook about the progress.

The photo studio has been a shocker to everyone who has seen it, computers and great light and photo is sharing the space with guitar which I just know will be a fun mixture. Right next to the art room that  have speakers attached in a snap to the iPod so it can be heard across the ball field.

I waited an extra day to post so I could tell you about the fun we all had last night. Paul took everyone out to dinner and after Jarred and Afton Weiner led us in song we all had such a great time.

The excitement is thrilling to be around. It feels like the whole camp is jumping with energy as the days rush by till Sunday when the first of you arrive.

The camp shirts this year are the best, and the surprises for each years campers the night of the banquet can’t be beat.

It is really important for any of you and your parents to closely watch the website if you haven’t signed up as we are filling up quickly. First secession is full and the wait list has started and second is just about full as well! So hurry to we won’t have to wait list you.

Remember Mom and Dad should call the office today to register so YOU don’t miss out! Call 863-676-4113 That’s the office or go to the website to register.

That’s all for now

See ya Jessie!

Summer Camp Starts Soon!

Ok here we are ready willing and excited! The leaders are arriving and the councilors are too.. Next week we have classes planned -training for all the new councilors and reminding the ones who have been here before what to expect and what Paul expects. We are putting the finishing touches on the Camp.

The Art building has cork walls so you all can display your work for everyone to see it’s amazing. The Photography digital lab also has a cork wall, which can only add to all the fun, that is about to start happening here at Circle F Dude Ranch Summer camp. Lots of art supplies have been ordered colored paper pencils even out door easels so we can all try painting by the waterfront or out in the woods. I just know it’s going to be the most amazing summer ever.

Doc Bennett has been out checking all the horses everyone of them is just fine and ready to ride. Kiki the baby is growing so fast you all will be amazed when you see him.

I was speaking with Paul and a few more new horses just arrived.
Everything and everyone is going at top speed to make sure nothing is forgotten. I’ve been trying to keep up with all that’s been happening but the Camp is humming with energy. This past weekend went so well if you check out Facebook you can read about the funtastic time everyone had. As people were on their way home they started posting about what a great time was had by all.Well this week I guess you could call this short and sweet. Sweet because I am to excited to keep writing and I want to get back and help with the last minute preparations. Short because you all know me well enough by now to know I always have lots to say. But I will be on Facebook this weekend telling all of you who is here and what is happening so for now take care

See ya Jessie…

Summer Camp and Crazy Fun!

Crazy fun is what you might say is what Circle F Dude Ranch Summer camp is about this week.
Everyone is rushing with a purpose in every direction. Checking and rechecking that everything is ready for all of you.
New music for the karaoke machine and the dancing ball is bright and shiny in the Round Up and the stage sound system has been double checked by Jarred himself. I even danced the night away last week with the group that was at the Ranch.
Well one more big weekend Memorial Day and we are just about full so I am super excited to get going and finish all the details so we are perfect when the leaders arrive first then all the councilors for preparation week. Paul has all sorts of things planned and ready for everyone to review and outline so each and every one of you has a “funtastic” time this summer!
Doc Bennett has been checking all the horses and even Boo. Every one of them is just fine.
I think I have been telling you about all the building that has been going on? The Photography and Art building is finished and certainly amazing. We even have cork on all the walls so you can hang your work and have your friends come by and see what you have created. Oh and the photo room has a cork wall as well so all the new photos you take can be displayed.  I know I am going to find a way to be involved so I can use the new stuff too.
With two head leaders for girls and two for boys this year we are sure to have lots of new adventures. New activities and projects I can’t wait and I sure you can’t either. There is only 18 days and about 20 hours before camp starts its going so fast hope you have all started packing? Kidding of course but make sure Mom and Dad have set up the right secession for you Kris has spoken to so many parents I can’t keep up. Another Week Closer to Summer Camp - Are you ready?!

It is hard to believe how busy we are here at Circle F Dude Ranch Camp.
So many things are being finished and readied for all of you campers to enjoy at Summer Camp.
I personally got to meet the new photography teacher Holly who has a bunch of ideas for taking photos all around camp this summer. Deven and her parents stopped by to check out the new and improved art building, Deven will be heading up the art department along with Ali who I’m sure you will all remember and her friend Jessica have what sounds like endless ideas and fun projects planned. I also met one of the co head of boys and he and Tom Taylor have lots of exciting things planned to make this years experience for all of you very special.
In the middle of all the busy preparations the Girl Scouts were here!  They had the best of time!

They brought their Moms and Dads and made it a real familyweekend. The Dads showed their daughters how much fun the Rock Wall could be and Chris Moon watched over everyone. Of course Blake kept watch at the waterfront and you could hear the girls squeal as their Dads launched them in the air from the blob. The Summit was filled with Girl Scouts of all ages climbing sliding and just plain having fun. I couldn’t believe there were four horseback rides on Saturday alone. Those girls sure loved the horses. Of course Boo Who made an appearance so that all the girls could hug on him and he was visibly happy. The baby Kiki and Spirit were truly playful taking treats and allowing everyone to pet them.

The food was wonderful Sunday lunch was even Chicken Fajitas what a treat they were great. The new karaoke machine Saturday night turned out to be so much fun. As did the hayride. Build a boat showed the team spirit in all the girls as everyone participated. Guess what Paul had special badges made that said Girl Scouts weekend at Circle F Dude Ranch Camp the girls loved them!!

Lastly I thought I would add a photo of “Bino” he is going to be co-boys director with Tom Taylor. One great guy if you ask me. He was fun to talk to and had hundreds of new ideas that he can’t wait to share with all of you. I’m very excited about everything that is happening.

Make sure that you are all signed up for one or more of the secessions Kris is on the phone every minute of the day checking paperwork and signing all your friends for summer so call him and get your reservation in now we are filling up so fast I wouldn’t want any of you to miss out on the “Coolest summer ever”

Leading Up To Summer Camp!

It is hard to believe how much activity goes on at Circle F Dude Ranch in the weeks leading up to summer camp!

The t-shirt design is ready to be printed.  New and exciting events are being planned, Jarred and Kris are meeting and talking with a bunch of “specialists” this year planning fun-filled activities -that in addition to all those events that you remember and are looking forward to doing again include many new surprises.

The art and craft classes will have a new young gal from Cincinnati Ohio who is already on her way here.  She is finishing her bachelor of fine arts in art education next year and told me she can’t wait to share a bunch of ideas she has been learning.  Photography and guitar will be taught in the most amazing new area. Oh and I forgot to tell all of you the art building is amazing! The eco-friendly coolers are humming along in all the cabins and the other buildings having been tested and ready to cool us all off while we rest during the day or at night.

But the waterfront is still filled with water (only kidding) of course it is! Blake Lennon has the blob waiting and ready to encourage all of you to jump higher and slide down the summit with your old and new friends here at Circle F Dude Ranch.

Sherry has been making sure the baby horse “Kiki” is growing up and fun to watch run around and be playful.  All the horses are getting ready as well getting their baths their hoofs checked out and the saddles cleaned and polished.
Everything is chugging along. Paul is out and about answering Facebook questions from each of you that write him so keep those questions coming.

This year he seems to be as excited as all of you as he talks to everyone who is making the place ready.

So now I need your help.

Deven our new arts director is asking that if any of you learned an art or craft project that you think the other campers would enjoy could you please share them with us.

Post it on Facebook or email Jarred at jarred@circlefduderanch.com or Kris at kris@circlefduderanch.com and guess what even Blake has an email blake@circlefduderanch.com.  It is always fun to hear from any and all of you. Of course you can always comment on my blog here or on Facebook.

Lastly I am counting the days just like all of you only 32 days left to the start of first session. Remember if Mom and Dad need help planning your summer vacation have them call Kris at the Circle F Dude Ranch office # 863-676-4113 to get you registered we are filling up quickly!

Gotta go-Until next week Jessie!

This week's happenings at Circle F Dude Ranch Camp

You won’t believe how much has been happening at Circle F Dude Ranch Camp this past week! The Florida Christian School  " Discovery Program" this is actually the Elementary, Middle & high school that Kris attended as a young guy. So you can imagine how good he felt when he recognized some of the teachers.  He told me he went there from 1985 until 2001 bet some of you were just being born? Kids from 5 to 15 went horseback riding, played paintball
and of course were in the lake on the Summit and boating. What a great day was had by all.
Then it was on to a group that has returned many times bringing different underprivileged children each year. The youngsters had to be nominated by their teachers to attend this function by getting good grades and good behavior in school.

As promised I am checking out all the people you have gotten use to seeing each summer and bring their personal story as to what makes them love Circle F Dude Ranch Camp and brings them back each year.

I don’t get to spend as much time at the waterfront as all of you do but Blake has even taught me how to jump off the tower and wait at the bottom to be launched in the air. So here are some of his words; “I love working at the waterfront because I've always enjoyed being around water all my life. Being able to play with the kids and enjoy everything there is to offer at the lake is an amazing experience. Plus I think it's important to put on a program that the kids will remember for the rest of their lives. When they grow up and talk about their fondest camp memories I want them to be able to relive specific one's about things they did at the waterfront at Circle F Dude Ranch. Whether it's jumping off the tower onto the blob for the first time, staying on the banana boat after a big wave knocks everyone else off, or learning how to sail on one of our awesome sailboats”. Pretty amazing thoughts, we are very lucky Blake is here at Circle F Dude Ranch for the fourth summer and third as head of waterfront.

Blake graduated from UCF with a degree in psychology and to some day be a physical education coach at an elementary school. He also plans a second degree in sports and fitness. Blake finished talking to me by saying “I’m looking forward to having the best summer yet at Circle F Dude Ranch Camp”. We’re happy he is here and we know you are too.
So I thought I would tell you why Circle F Dude Ranch Camp is such an exciting place for me.  The relationship between kids and nature never ceases to amaze me.

Years ago the first time I set foot on the property it was love at first sight, as a young girl I know I had found my new home. The opportunity to help youngsters believe in their own abilities to learn new activities and to be part of that experience always makes me happy. I love animals big and small. Sure I love the waterfront but Blake has it covered so I am making sure all the horses are ready for camp. Can you believe only 39 days left 'till Summer Camp!!! Hope you are registered have Mom and Dad call Kris Canchon # 863-676-4113 if you still need to sign up.

Gotta go keep those questions coming  Jessie
