Another Week Gone By - Only 52 Days to Summer Camp!!!!!!

Once again I am here at Circle F Dude Ranch checking out what everyone has been up to as we get ready for Summer Camp which by the way is only 52 days and counting!

This week I thought I would tell you about a conversation I had with Kris the Assistant Camp Director, other day and how he fell in love with the outdoors and especially Circle F Dude Ranch. It seems when he first arrived in 2005 he wasn¹t as big on camping as he is today.
He wasn"t even sure if
he would come back the following year. Sounds hard to believe but as the year went by after camp was over he realized how much he was missing the feelings of being involved with young people and teaching them to trust themselves and the lessons learned at Circle F Dude Ranch. He went on to tell me "Summer Camp has a different meaning than just a fun place to spend your summer, to me it's an opportunity to impact a child's life, give them a sense of independence and a better foundation of who they really are. This is why I come back year after year and why Camp is important to me."  Wow those are some really great thoughts on Kris's part don't you think?

I pretty much feel the same way. Even though I am behind the scenes checking the horses and keeping things clean around the stables. I have learned so much about self-confidence and my ability to trust my judgment sharing those abilities with all of you makes me proud to be part of Circle F Dude Ranch summer camp.

The horses and Boo Who enjoy all of you brushing them and talking to them as during the year most people are just here on weekends. So summer is an exciting time for all of us. I can't wait for each session to begin meeting new girls and boys and renewing old friendships teaching them to trust and watch them grow strong from all the outdoor activities, Is kind'a like watching the new baby horse grow. Feeling good about leaving mom and dad at home while they learn new things and sharing experiences with the councilors and their camp mates. Helps them return to school in the fall with renewed sense of security as to who they are growing up to be.

By now I hope most of you are registered for one or more of the sessions, as we are all so eager to see old friends and make new ones.Oh I didn¹t want to forget it has been great hearing from all of you keep those questions coming and I will try and tell you what I know or ask for help in getting the answer so until next week.

That's it for now guys and gals

So long for now Jessie
